Taking an opportunity to learn something new is a great way to connect with others and explore a part of yourself that perhaps you don’t make time for that often. Plus, if you follow your passion, who knows where it will lead. Maybe it will just stay a hobby, but maybe you’ll find a way to make it a bigger part of your life. The writing class I’m currently taking is definitely pushing me out of my comfort zone but I’m going to be a better writer because of it.
Spendy: Sign up for private lessons or tutoring. Find a yoga teacher and take a couple of one-on-one sessions. Call up that piano tutor your friend recommended (or ask your cat).
Moderate: You can usually find classes, both online and in person, that range in cost on many, many topics. Sign up for one and it will keep you accountable for following through.
Budget-friendly: YouTube is a great source for all kinds of tutorials, like this one on how to knit.
